Service Dog Training & Programs in Hamilton
The Crunchy Canine offers a unique trainer-assisted service dog program for those choosing to train their own service dog rather than go through a Service Dog organization. Our service dog training program is designed to meet each handler and dog’s individual needs. At this time we are only accepting applications for Autism Dogs.
**Only teams that meet our requirements will be accepted into the program. Not all applications will be accepted as we have strict guidelines and rules that we follow**
We currently serve Burlington, Hamilton, and Haldimand/Norfolk County for Service Dog training.
Puppy Starting
Do you have a puppy under 6 months of age that you would like to train for service work? We offer temperament testing, in-home training, and board and trains for starting your Service Dog puppy.
Service Prep
Do you have an adult dog over 7 months of age that you would like to train for service work? We offer temperament testing, in-home training, and board and trains for adult dogs who have no experience in service work. All dogs will need to pass a basic pre-requisite test in order to qualify for training.
Public Access
Is your Service Dog in Training over 9 months of age and ready to begin public access work? We offer individualized private training or board and trains to help you and your dog pass the Public Access Test. All dogs will be required to pass a basic pre-requisite test prior to beginning training.
Task Training
Is your Service Dog in Training ready to start their task work? We offer task training for mobility, psychological, and Autism support. All dogs must pass a pre-requisite test in order to qualify for task training.
