Fungility
Our Fungility Drop-In Class is a fun, low-pressure agility experience for dogs and handlers of all skill levels! Designed to promote confidence, coordination, and bonding, this class offers a variety of agility obstacles like tunnels, jumps, A-frame, teeter, and weave poles in a relaxed, playful environment. Unlike competitive agility, Fungility focuses on having fun and allowing your dog to explore at their own pace, with no pressure to perform perfectly. It’s a great way to introduce your dog to agility, provide mental and physical exercise, and socialize with other dogs and handlers. Whether you’re looking to build foundational agility skills or just enjoy an active, engaging experience with your dog, this drop-in class is all about fun and teamwork!

Introduction to Agility Handling
Our Introduction to Agility Handling Skills class is designed to give you and your dog a solid foundation in the key techniques used in agility training. We will teach your dog proper striding to the jump to avoid knocked bars, forward drive to keep your dog looking ahead, wing wraps and taking the back side of the jump.
Whether you’re new to agility or looking to refine your skills, this course will help you develop the handling techniques needed to navigate agility courses with confidence and precision. Perfect for beginners and those looking to sharpen their handling abilities!
Curriculum
Week 1: Info day, Fitness, target plate
Week 2: Teaching your dog to jump independently (Forward Drive), sit/stays, “look forward cue”
Week 3: Hand Touch, Front and Blind Crosses
Week 4: Wing wraps
Week 5: Backsides
Week 6: How to walk a course and Graduation
Cost: $250 plus HST for 6 weeks of training

Level 1 Agility Handling
Our Level 1 Agility Handling course is for those who already have an agility foundation with their dog and have completed our Intro to Agility class. In our Level 1 Agility class we focus on introducing your dog to the tunnel, soft left and right cues, rear crosses and 2 other jump techniques; a threadle slice and a back side slice.
Curriculum
Week 1: Introducing Tunnel and continue working on Wing Wraps and Backsides (course)
Week 2: Soft Left and Right Cues out of Tunnel
Week 3: Rear Crosses out of Tunnel
Week 4: Threadle Slice
Week 5: Back Side Slice
Week 6: Course and Graduation
Cost: $250 plus HST for 6 weeks of training

Level 2 Agility Handling
Our Level 2 Agility Handling course is for those who already have a strong agility foundation with their dog and have completed our Level 1 Agility class. In our Level 2 Agility class we focus on introducing your dog to the weave poles and putting together a Speedstakes jumping course.
Curriculum
Week 1: Finding the entrance of the weave poles and Speedstakes course
Week 2: Adding second set of weave poles and Speedstakes course
Week 3: Continue working on 4 weave poles and Speedstakes course
Week 4: Add Third set of weave poles (if clients are ready) and work on Jump to 2 weave poles (learning to find entrance during course)
Week 5: If clients are ready straighten all weave poles and work on Jump to 4 weave poles
Week 6: Do Jumping course!!! And Graduation!
Cost: $250 plus HST for 6 weeks of training

Facility Rental for Agility Practice
Our 2,000 sq. ft. facility is available to rent by the half-hour and full-hour for agility practice. Our equipment includes multiple jumps, tire jumps, weave poles and tunnels and we have heavy-duty foam mat flooring which is perfect for practice. See our Facility Page for more details!
Dog Agility Training FAQs
Do dogs need previous training before joining agility?
Some agility classes are suitable for beginners, while advanced levels require previous agility experience or completion of earlier classes. If you are unsure which class is right for your dog, contact us and we can help guide you.

Agility classes are held at The Crunchy Canine facility at 20 Upper Wellington St, Simcoe, Norfolk County.
What does my dog learn in agility training?
Depending on the class level, dogs may work on jumps, tunnels, weave poles, A-frames, teeters, handling cues, confidence, body awareness, and teamwork with their handler.
Is agility only for competition dogs?
No. Many dogs join agility for fun, confidence, exercise, and bonding. Fungility is especially designed as a low-pressure, playful introduction to agility.
